Flaca Jewelry was created in 2014 by Amy Shepsman with the dream of making luxurious jewelry that was both affordable and fashionable. Since then, Amy has done just that by designing countless unique yet versatile pieces that are right on-trend.

“Flaca Jewelry is a cool, sophisticated, wearable jewelry line that exudes feminine beauty and independence. Featured in national and international publications such as Vogue, InStyle, Glamour, Real Simple and many more, Flaca Jewelry was named one of the best new designers to know in 2015.”

In January, Amy was named as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Art & Style. Most recently, she was interviewed by WGN News for the One of a Kind Show here in Chicago. You can see her in action here.

Since Flaca embodies both style and grace, we knew the trunk show would be the perfect setting to introduce you to our favorite photographer, Alaina Bos, a Chicago-based wedding and portrait photographer. Cinnamon’s gift to you during our special event entitles you to a Make-over and Photoshoot plus $100 to use toward portraits, totaling a value of $700. As someone who celebrates relationships, Alaina encourages you to enjoy your session with your mom, sister, best friend or partner, and be sure to have plans that evening – you’re going to look gorgeous!

“Relationships are very important to me and that’s why I love being a photographer. Being able to capture people and life’s biggest milestones is truly gratifying because I help preserve memories and moments that would otherwise be forgotten.” –Alaina (pictured)

We are so excited to present these two fabulous artists to you on Thursday, May 11th. Please stop by Cinnamon Boutique from 3pm-7pm for shopping, fashion and gifts to complete your Mother’s Day shopping, either for someone you love or for yourself!

4 Tips on Wearing Floral this Spring!

4 Tips on Wearing Floral this Spring!

Floral prints have never looked as good as they do this Spring! Make sure you’re getting the most out of your florals with these tips from Personal Stylist, Hanna of Hanna Lee Style.

1. Don’t know what to do with all those crop tops that are everywhere in the fashion world? Capitalize on the high-waist, cropped flare denim trend by pairing them with that fabulous floral crop top you’ve been eyeing! For those chillier days, throw a linen or denim jacket over it. Not sure what shoes to wear? Hanna warns against over-thinking what shoe goes with a cropped flare (because so many styles work!) and recommends wearing your favorite wedge, ankle strap heel or fun sneaker.

2. Make sure you get a great, floral maxi dress to wear now through Fall. Layer with a tailored leather jacket if the weather hasn’t warmed up enough for you. Then shed that jacket for summer and wear bright, tassel earrings and a fabulous gold necklace to make the ensemble pop. All your favorite summer shoes will pair nicely with this pale pink floral pattern, but once chilly weather comes back at us, grab a nice open-toe bootie and put that leather jacket back on to pull this look into fall.

3. Want an outfit that works for the office, an afternoon out on the town and at happy hour? Go for a sleeveless floral print top in a darker color to tone down the playfulness of the floral. Easily covered with a tailored blazer and paired with any type of denim or dress pant, this top can take you anywhere. Hanna adds her unique touch with bright stone earrings, a metallic clutch and raw hem jeans.

4. If you don’t own a dress that announces your arrival, you are missing out! A bright, floral midi length dress is not only a statement in and of itself, but it’s so easy to wear! For this dress, Hanna follows the old adage “less is more” by only wearing bangles, a mother of pearl ring and skin-toned, ankle strap sandals. “Let the dress speak for itself. You will look and feel amazing in this dress and you don’t want to mask that with too many distractions.”

This Spring, take advantage of all the fabulous floral prints out there and use them to spice up your wardrobe. With so many ways to wear them, each piece is sure to be a flavorful staple in your closet season after season! And you can always count on a great pair of sunglasses to go with all of your new favorite floral ensembles! Grab your perfect pair at Custom Eyes, right next to Cinnamon!
